At Río Secreto, you will experience the silence of a world below, crossing for an hour and a half through the crystalline water museum. Filled with a kaleidoscope of speleothems, walk an easy 600 meter route amidst the thousands of stalactites and stalagmites found in this protected natural reserve (ca. 1.5 hours).

We will meet at Playa Antigua in Playa del Carmen, just a 5 minute walk from the Ferry Pier.
Recommendations and restrictions:
BRING ALONG:
Comfortable clothing and walking shoes, (no flip-flops!) short-sleeved T-shirt is recommended. Please where bathing suit and bring an additional set of dry clothes. Also bring credit card or cash for tips, photos, videos, crafts and souvenirs.
The following may not be taken on the tour inside the underground river: caps, sunglasses, flip-flops, any objects in swimsuit pockets, watches, jewelry, photo or video cameras (nor waterproof), band-aids, any other type of bag
RESTRICTIONS: This expedition is not recommended for people weighing over 250 lbs., those with severe back problems, any severe physical or motor handicap, serious heart problems, or for obese people or for those who suffer from claustrophobia or do not know how to swim. Children under 6 years, pregnant women and people under the effects of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate in this expedition.

Arrival at highway parking lot, located just five minutes from
Playa del Carmén. Transport to the site is provided in our
unique all-terrain Mercedes Benz Unimog's
2. Arrival at Rio Secreto. Our guides will meet visitors, brief
visitors regarding site attractions, usage and safety, and
provide visitors with all appropriate clothing and equipment
3. Visitors will then be guided on a one and a half hour (or 600
meter) tour of Rio Secreto, walking and swimming along the route
4. A light but substantial lunch will be enjoyed after this
